SYSTEM ENHANCEMENTS: INDOOR AIR QUALITY

INDOOR AIR QUALITY IAQ PRODUCTS
According to the EPA, poor indoor air quality is among the top
five environmental risks. Pollutants in your home’s air can cause
dizziness, headaches and may aggravate allergies and trigger asthma.
Changing the filter on your heating and air conditioning system as well
as cleaning and vacuuming can go a long way toward improving the air
you breathe, but cleaning alone will not solve IAQ problems. Homes need
help with indoor air quality. Over 90% of all homes have one or more indoor
air quality problems. Particle allergens, chemical pollutants, and
humidity changes are just a few.

Improve the quality of the indoor air in your home and extend the life of
your heating and cooling system with indoor air quality products. Maybe
you need a Humidifier to help add moisture, or a Whole House Air Purifierir
to clean and remove indoor air contaminants to eliminate germs and bacteria
from your indoor air. COVID-19 Tested Whole House Air Cleaners are a great
choice for your home and require no maintenance.

HUMIDIFIERS
Do you have dry throat, dry nose or static electricity?

There is an optimum humidity level that is not too much or too little, yet
most homes do not have good humidity control. Installing a humidifier on
your heating and cooling system is the best way to avoid the dryness normally
occurring while your heating system is operating.

PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTATS
Programmable thermostats automatically adjust your home’s temperature
settings, allowing you to save energy while you’re away or sleeping at night.
The KEY is to use your programmable thermostat sensibly.

Everyone’s home is different due to age, insulation, widow air leakage etc
that contribute to heat loss and heat gain during the coldest days of winter
and the hottest stretch of summer. Severe settings of more than 5 degree
setback periods won’t save much energy. During the winter months, we would
not recommend that you go below your desired room temperature by more
than 5 degrees, due to heat loss. In the summer we do not recommend setting
your thermostat above 75 degrees in extreme heat, as your equipment must work
harder to remove heat from inside your home’s walls, flooring, and furnishings.
On very hot days, it could take an hour or more to drop the inside
temperature by 1 degree as your unit works hard to compensate for heat gain.
